SPECIALTY CLINICS
Therapy Intensives: in line with research on motor learning, the child receives 3-4 hours of therapy per day for a short period of time to assist in moving to the next functional level.
Adaptive Equipment Clinic: a multi-disciplinary team evaluates and addresses the child's equipment needs relative to mobility, seating, and positioning. Our goals are to enhance overall postural alignment, self-care, communication, and independent mobility for function.
Augmentative Communication Clinic: a multi-disciplinary team offers evaluation, information, and training related to assistive technology. A resource library and database of vendors, products and related literature has been assembled.
Electric Stimulation: both functional and threshold electric stimulation are two cutting edge modalities proven to enhance the child's functional abilities.
Treadmill Training: also known as Partial Weight Bearing Gait and Balance Therapy. Recent research demonstrates the effectiveness of this protocol in facilitating gait and balance, as well as overall function.
Orthoses/Splinting: Physical and Occupational therapists work closely with physicians and orthotists to ensure the best fit and function for a variety of supporting devices, including hands-free walking.
